What's In Store For Atlanta's Marquee Music Festival?

Could Atlanta's marquee music festival be getting overshadowed? By this time last year, Music Midtown officials were announcing 2013 acts in a fresh new way - piecemeal, via Facebook posts. But the most recent post on MM's Facebook page dates back to Sept. 28, two days after last year's jubilant mudfest wrapped. Meanwhile, blockbuster, newer festivals have been announced/confirmed elsewhere around Atlanta in late September, when MM has been scheduled since its 2011 reboot at Piedmont Park.

The trippy EDM showcase that is TomorrowWorld - one of the country's largest music festivals - will return to its 8,000-acre Chattahoochee Hills site from Sept. 26 to 28. Today, TomorrowWorld announced a full line-up that includes EDM heavy-hitters like Avicii, Bassnectar, David Guetta and Skrillex. Out of nowhere last week, OutKast announced a one-day festival for Centennial Olympic Park on Sept. 27. The AJC reports that MM could be held earlier in September this year, which would make sense. Anyone care to speculate on who might perform - or who might need to be there to compete this year?
