Garden City: Music festival traffic safety is a success

Garden City Police are pleased with the traffic safety succes yesterday during the Boise Music Festival.


Early in the week authorities said they expected around 80,000 people to attend the Music Festival at Expo Idaho in Garden City - and they hoped drivers not attending would plan accordingly.


Police said the five major traffic collisions were far less than what occured during last year's festivities. No collisions invloved pedestrians, though jaywalking was prevalent on Chinden Boulevard and Glendwood Street.


In addtion, Sgt. Blair Brannan said there were no festival related arrests made by the Garden City Police Department.
