This weekend: Dogfish's Analog

Vinyl, craft beer, barbecue and performances by national acts like Bob Mould and Mutual Benefit are on tap for this weekend's annual two-day Analog-A-Go-Go hosted by Dogfish Head.

The event will start Friday with a 10 p.m. free show at Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats (320 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach) by Mould (Hüsker Dü, Sugar). His new album, 'Beauty & Ruin,' was released last week to critical acclaim.

On Saturday, Analog-A-Go-Go will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the brewery (6 Village Center Blvd., Milton) pairing vinyl dealers like Newark's Rainbow Records and New York's Other Music with a variety of other vendors, selling clothes, art and other goodies. Rehoboth's own Steve Fallon, who founded the legendary indie rock club Maxwell's in Hoboken, N.J., will be in charge of the music. Tickets are $10 here.

Beers by Dogfish and guest brewery, New York's Birreria, will also be available. Food from Bethany Blues and Dogfish's bratwurst-themed Bunyan's Lunchbox food truck will also be up for grabs.

On Saturday night, the action will move back to the Rehoboth Beach brewpub for a 100-person show by New York-based folk/pop act Mutual Benefit. Tickets for the concert are also $10.

Wilmington-based peace group Pacem in Terris will host its first-ever Pacem Music Festival in Arden this weekend, pulling together a line-up of eight area acts for a day of folk, soul, country and roots music.

The fest will run from 5 to 11 p.m. Saturday at Arden's Buzzware Village Center (2119 The Highway, Arden) and performers include Sharon Sable, Ed Dwornik and the Dinkendo Family Band, Butch & Teri Zito, Linda Bunting, Charlotte Hash & Frank Baldo, Frank Bartkowski, FishCastle and Benny, Shawn & Cole Preston.

Tickets cost $20 in advance here or $25 at the door. Music fans can bring food for a voluntary potluck dinner. Drinks will be sold on site.

While the 47-year-old non-profit has hosted concerts before, this is the debut of the Pacem Music Festival, which organizers hope will be an annual event. It benefits the organization.

The hard-core country music fans from all over the world. The ones who clog our downtown, fill our hotels and crowd our streets each June. We probably should have thanked them before they left, because they also put a bunch of money into our economy and aided our public schools, all for the love of music.
