Alexa Chung Wears an Unexpected Outfit to Glastonbury Music Festival

The unofficial dress code for music festivals generally calls for a pseudo hippie-slash-Western-inspired blend of crochet, fringe, and denim. And floral crowns. Lots of floral crowns.

But British trendsetter (and one of our favorite style stars) Alexa Chung is making festival sartorial choices on a whole other level. At the five-day Glastonbury Festival, set near Pilton, Somerset, England, she upped the glam factor in a shimmery silver Max Mara playsuit. Had she not grounded the metallic with casual accoutrements, the shine would have looked too out of place to work. But thanks to the gray sweatshirt that she nonchalantly tied around her waist, the utilitarian coat slung over her arm, and her no-nonsense green ankle Hunter rain boots (for potential muddy grounds), her look struck the right balance.

For your next festival, consider slipping on a similar fancy romper. Personally though, the chances of us running the risk of dirtying a designer playsuit at any festival are slim to none. So we found a lookalike option at a fraction of the cost: this Twin Swister cami romper for $67, available at lipsy.co.uk. You're welcome.

In the ten or so slides that make up his presentation about them, he conjures a colorful and alluring world. There are pithy quotes ("Only Connect!") and [...]
