Free NH music festival celebration set for Thursday night



Out on the lawn in front of Plymouth State University's Mary Lyon Hall, you can participate in a free cookout and community celebration to kick off a new season for the New Hampshire Music Festival.


It is officially kicking off its Summer 2014 on Thursday night with cookout before their concert at 8 p.m.


The orchestra is outstanding. Musicians come from all over the country to play,here for the summer at Silver Cultural Arts Center on the PSU campus.


All are invited to the lawn in front of Mary Lyon Hall to enjoy food, drinks, games, take a photo in the photo booth and help celebrate summer music.


Come to the PSU Green from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.


Music during the barbecue will be by Audrey Drake.


You might still be able to buy tickets for Donato Cabrera, conductor of the orchestra, offering Mendelssohn: Overture to A Midsummer Night's Dream in E major, Op. 21, among others.

Discounts are 50 percent for youth (age 18 and under) and college students with identification.
