TWC News: Famed Punk Club CBGB Returns as Part of Film and Music FestivalPlay now
The famed punk club CBGB came back to life for the weekend, landing in Times Square as part of a film and music festival.
The annual outdoor show was part of five-day festival that featured free events across the city.
Devo and Jane's Addiction headlined the show.
'Ten years from now, he's going to be able to say in college that 'The first concert I ever saw was Devo and Jane's Addiction,'' said one person who attended the concert.
'Devo was awesome,' said another attendee. 'It was just like being at CB's, except it smells a little better here.'
'It's awesome,' said a third. 'Everybody seems pretty cool out here today. It's a good time.'
'I saw Jane's Addiction, and I've seen them before, but they were absolutely amazing, really, really tight, and just so happy to be here, I think,' said a fourth.
Organizers said it was the city's largest free concert to date.
