Austin

The Austin City Limits Music Festival wrapped up its second weekend and now it's time to reflect.
One of the themes of the fest was nostalgia. Both Outkast and the Replacements played the park both weekends as part of long-awaited reunion tours.
OutKast, the more popular and user-friendly option, drew huge crowds, full of people who'd probably not gotten a chance before to say they'd seen an Outkast show. Andre 3000 and Big Boi brought the southern funk dutifully. Crowds came early and stayed to the end.
The Replacements played to a smaller, older crowd, but a crowd that may well have been attending just to see them. The first weekend they were better, tighter than anybody imagined they'd b, but come the second weekend, they were louder, more reckless, and more like the Replacements' heyday than anybody could've expected.
