The Governors Ball and Electric Zoo have made their marks in the New York City festival market, and now it's country music's turn.

FarmBorough, the Big Apple's first-ever country music fest, will take place at Randall's Island from June 26-28, 2015. With Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan and Brad Paisley set to headline the main stage and Caanan Smith opening the 'Next From Nashville' stage, the all-weekend event is set to feature over 30 artists including Wade Bowen, Brandy Clark, Maddie & Tae, Kip Moore and the Cadillac Three, with a few special guests.

'There are a lot of country music festivals around the country,' Bentley said during a press conference at New York City's Gramercy Park Hotel on Wednesday morning (Oct. 29). 'To actually have country music here in the city, a three-day festival with the biggest names in country music playing within the five boroughs and FarmBorough being the sixth borough, is really exciting for me. And I've been playing this city for a long time.'

Created by the founders of country music fests like Watershed, Faster Horses and Route 91 Harvest in partnership with Founders Entertainment, the company behind Governors Ball, organizers are hopeful that the festival will be a major success domestically and internationally. Brian O'Connell, Live Nation President of Country Touring and one of FarmBorough's organizers, explains that it's the constant communal feeling that country music has for everyone from the the artists to the media to the fans - something that you don't get to see in other genres of music - that appeals to him.

'We are in an inclusive community,' O'Connell said at the press conference. 'We strive to be inclusive while in the rock business, by their very nature, [it] is very exclusive. [Country artists] are just a different breed and different kinds of artists.'

Aside from community, Bentley is also looking forward to the fact that he'll actually get to 'explore the grounds' more and enjoy the festival, unlike the other events that he's played in the past.

'I've had the time to play Lollapalooza as an artist and Bonnaroo,' the 'Say You Do' singer said. 'And as far as country fair festivals, that's what they are, they're fairs. I grew up on fair festivals, and I love fairs. But you don't go and explore the grounds at a fair. There's nothing really to explore... What I love about what Brian and Jordan [Wolowitz of Founders Entertainment] are doing, they're really respectful of what's happening in country music.'
