Blue and Green is the combined production efforts of Josh Thompson AKA Bareskin and J. Wiltshire. The two young producers both have history with Hypercolour; Wiltshire having recently dropped his ‘False Awakening’ single on the label, and Bareskin having contributed to both Hypercolour and Losing Suki imprints in the past. Emotive territory is plundered on ‘The Wait’, a breakbeat flecked and pacey production that blends introspective vocals, dark guitar melodies and distorted bottom end with refreshing results. Alan Fitzpatrick, picks up the mantle on the first of two remixes on this single. The Drumcode regular has been firing on all cylinders these last 12 months, with class remixes for Trus’me and dubspeeka and releases for Hotflush, Figure, Cocoon and Adam Beyer’s aforementioned Drumcode label. Fitzpatrick strips back the vocal and creates a peak time rolling Dub Mix in his own solid and inimitable style. A second remix comes courtesy of techno psychonaut, A Sagittariun. The Elastic Dreams boss follows up singles on HypeLTD and Secretsundaze and remixes for Permanent Vacation and Futureboogie with a distinctively warm and telepathically charged “Re-Dream”.
